Home sweet home

whoaaa..can't believe it's been like a month since i got home! why does time have to go by so fast.
so..things have been kinda crazy since i got back..first da yi passed away suddenly. and i found myself at yet another funeral. the 3rd one in two years. how unfair is that? i couldn't help but wonder how the Lord could let such bad things happen. but i guess i'm not fit to question what He does. cuz everything happens for a reason. right?

went on movie sprees..ej288 retreat at m'sia..which was pretty cool. my first time. being surrounded by all these older, more experienced leaders. kinda intimidating at first. but they were all really nice n great people. turned out to be such a relaxing, pampering camp. kinda weird. not what i expected. haha. then was cluster camp the next week. whoaa. the most tiring camp ever. totally opposite from ej288. haha. was made to be a mentor..which brought up mixed feelings in me. kinda didn't wanna do it.heh. but..i must say, the Lord really has a reason for why some things happen. it was a really awesome experience co-leading a group in camp for the first time. definitely more challenging than just being a camper. but more fulfilling too. thank God for His grace and guidance! thought i wouldn't be able to hear His voice after so long, but God is indeed good. all the time.

the next week was yet another church camp..this time with my family. was really like a family camp, cuz most of my relatives are in ps melvyn mak's network..same as my parents. so was like a mini family reunion for me. haha. got to see all my lovely cute little cousins!! how fast they grow up. :) was pretty bored at first. cuz they cater to the adults ( of cuz) and the children (they got a really boring program.at least that's what most of them complained. but at least they had something to do!)
me and my bros just hung out in the room at first..watching tv..which, by the way, sucked. the second day was better. had sessions, then free time! hung out at the pool. then we had a dinner and dance. was more fun than i expected. cuz i participated. haha. they split us up in groups to dance the foxtrot, so the youth got together and formed one group. i didn't join them when they practised, so i was like a clumsy person, bumping into everyone. but it was fun!

then all 200+ of us formed one huge circle and danced the foxtrot for what seemed like FOREVER! gosh. my dad (who was the MC) kept saying 10 more!! i grew to detest that song. haha. dancing with all the old ah peks was kinda weird. but it was fun discussing their odd quirks afterwards. haha. then waltzed a bit with dad. he forced me! said it was good for my future. haha. then after lots of pple left, they started a dance floor. only it was all old songs. but pretty fun seeing all the old folks groove to the beat. hahahaha. ooh super funny too - seeing ML24 dancing the funny 'i will follow you' dance. laughed till i shaked the camera. :)

the next day we did the adventure course. i dreaded it. as i always dread physical stuff that involves crazy heights!
BUT...proud to say that..i did most of it!! yay!! haha. i did the low ropes (not high though..no time.heh.), rappelling, flying fox. yup. standing at the edge of the window was freaky. but rappelling down was fun. although i'm sure my butt looked huge in that horrid smelly harness. seeing the adults do the adventure course was the most fun part. they shrieked, they kicked, they trembled, they flailed their arms helplessly. ahahahaha. hilarious.

after church camp, our family n relatives went to port dickson for 2 nights. was pretty fun. caught some crabs. most of them took the squid and ran away. ggrrr. one died. in our un-salty water. haha. ate so much i'm sick of chi food now. and so glad i live in s'pore. where they are no flies.
yup. life is good :)
