Countdown

Less than two weeks from now, my producer stresses and worries will be OVER! just need to get this weekend and next weekend's shoot over and done with, and YAY i'll get my life back!! :)

After calling a gazillion schools and churches (found them randomly online -- they were all Christian because we realized Christians are nicer and more likely to let us film for free. haha), we got a few maybes. so... we're crossing our fingers and toes and hoping to God that someone, anyone, says yes. please yes. we just need one office to shoot in, that's not too much to ask for! and we already got our request to shoot with our own cameras turned down, so we're shooting with crappy cameras, and people aren't happy about that. if we have to shoot in the crappy casting suite as well, this is going to be one crappy film. again, it's not like i care because this isn't crucial for my future career, but it means a lot to others. so here's looking forward to two weeks from now!!! :)

Went to the advance screening of Gentlemen Broncos at The Archlight, and saw another premiere going on for some movie called Boondocks II. no idea what that was, but there was a red carpet and everything. and then the star of the movie, jemaine clement, who was in Flight of the Concords and other TV shows, came to the theater to introduce the film. he was funny, the movie was not. at all. i guess coming from the producers of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, i couldn't have expected more from it. it was the lamest crap ever, filled with slapstick humor and lots of unnecessary puking. and some people actually found it funny! don't know why. but oh well it was free :)

And i'm almost halfway through with my script!!! 45 pages of screenplay! my new title is Miss Match. I kinda like it. it's cute. haha.
And here's my logline - Convinced that the celebrity of her dreams is her true love, a psychic matchmaker attempts to meet him face to face, and realizes that love can be found in unexpected places.
It's not perfect, but my prof said it's 85% there. so... getting there, slowly but surely! and i'm realizing there's lots of me and my life in the characters and the script. haha. i guess writing what i know best is easiest.
