camping

just came back from camping in the wilderness. so proud of myself for having survived!! cuz as everyone knows, i'm deathly afraid of bugs n outside stuff! so initially didn't really wanna go..but since pple persuaded me to go..i'm easy-going like that :)
it was fun..hanging out..bonfires..s'mores..hot dogs (sorry, mum. i'll eat more organic food this week to make up for that)..walks in the wilderness..just getting away from campus n relaxing..
ooh we saw a bunch of racoons!! my first time! awfully exciting. they're so cute!

went to the hoedown..really don't get why these americans like square dancing. it's so...square. and not fun. dancing with all these old, smelly men? no thank you. trying not to judge them. cuz this is their idea of fun. but it's not where i come from. but still.. have to remind myself i have no right to judge. so..the bathroom was the MOST disgusting thing i'd ever seen in my life.

flies plastered to the walls. dead bugs on the sides of the hole they call a toilet bowl. spiders creeping n crawling everywhere. ew ew ew. i drank like a few drops of water to avoid going to the bathroom as much as possible. gross. ended up having to go in the middle of the night!!! went with another girl. we clung on to each other cuz it was dark. like cannot-see-your-own-hand type of dark. creepy. but it's times like these that i really learn to appreciate the simple things i have. and thank God i'm so blessed :) it was an adventure, sleeping in the bus. good bonding time. plus i enjoyed worshipping by the fire and sharing abt our lives. i love sitting by the fire when it's cold. it's so...fascinating :)
