still tired....

this wk has been the most exhausting week of my whole entire life!!! seriously. painting the stupid set for 'a man of all seasons' (which opened today. heard it was pretty gd, but didn't see it. so not gonna pay a freakin US8bucks to go see them. rather go see a movie. haha.) studying for all the tests n being swamped with hw for expos writing again. the hw never stops! gosh. enough already. slept at like 3+++am everyday. so xin ku :(

plus i must rant about people here. oh. my. gawd. like all they think about is freakin MARRIAGE. seriously!! there's more to life than gettin married n settling down n having kids!!! arrrggh. like, the girls here come with one aim - to get married. they change their majors to those with more guys so they can find a husband faster!!

anw today was the start of parents' weekend. was ok. most pple caution me that if there ever is a time to feel homesick, this is definitely it. but i really wasn't. all the parents who came were so nice! cuz they knew some of our parents couldn't come, so we were like their children for a day. so sweet :) had a super busy day. went to classes, then drove with a few other pple to ball state university abt 45 mins away to take the chi test. which was the EASIEST chi test i have EVER taken in my whole entire life. like, the instructions were actually in english. and if u didn't know how to write a chi word, u could just write the han yu pin yin. i wish all chi tests could be like that. then i wouldn't have to suffer so much. but it was embarrassing cuz i forgot how to write SO many characters. hehe.

but the teacher was pretty impressed, cuz the rest could only speak well, they didn't really learn how to read n write. most were missionary kids from china. so hopefully can get all the credits n dun need to take chi lessons. ugh. real ironic. come to US take chi lessons. then went for orphans' night at the upland community church. haha. sounds kinda sad..like we're all orphans. but it was a BLAST. had so much fun! altho i got hit by a frisbee like TWICE on the jaw. pain!! played hockey n bball..and my fren brought her 3 younger bros. oh gosh. totally adorable. reminded me of my bros. aaahhhh. the way they played n 'fought' with each other n all. sigh. so cute. kept messing up the little boy's hair like i always do to jedi :) so grateful to taylor n mukappa for these kinda events that keep u away frm missing home cuz everyone else's parents are here.
