The touch of God

Look at your hand. The back, then the palm. Your fingers, your knuckles, your fingernails.

What if someone were to film a documentary on your hands? What if a producer were to tell your story based on the life of your hands? What would we see? Hands folding in prayer, hands holding another's in comfort, hands helping someone else's... Or fists abusing someone else, fingers accusing others, hands taking more than giving, demanding instead of offering.

Hands left unmanaged become weapons. But hands managed become instruments of grace - not just tools in the hands of God, but God's very hands.

Jesus touched the unlovable, the diseased, and the dying because he had a compassionate heart. If he were to look at all the things your hands have been doing all your life, what would he say? Would he be glorified through your actions or would he be saddened?
